In Memoriam David balas
It is with much emotion and gratitude we spend this season at Ox-Bow honoring and celebrating the life of our long-time friend and board-member, David Balas. Dave was an invaluable member of our community who was committed to bringing Ox-Bow and the people of Saugatuck together. For almost a decade, Dave was greatly involved in organizing our amazing Summer Benefit and was so invested in the relationship that board-members had with Ox-Bow participants. He and his husband, Jim Sellman, would host an annual event at their home for Ox-Bow staff and fellows. It was an amazing way to kick off every exciting summer at Ox-Bow. We will miss him and our hearts are with his family and friends.

The David Balas Community Fund has been created to support pub-lic programs that connect Ox-Bow to the West Michigan community and strengthen our commitment to and relationships with the region.
