The Esther and Seymour Padnos
Metal Studio
Our open-air metals and sculpture studio was a gift from Seymour and Esther Padnos. On August 19, 1995, a celebration was held to dedicate the Padnos Metals Studio. Festivities included a demonstration bronze pour, a buffet lunch at the Inn, and tours of the Ox-Bow grounds. The studio has since hosted blacksmithing courses, iron pours, jewelry making, and woodworking courses.
Explore this page to see photos of the Padnos Metals Studio over the years. You can also listen to a playlist made by our current Metals Studio Manager, Devin Balara, and to a StoryCorps interview with Bill Padnos, Seymour Padnos’s son and current Ox-Bow Board Member.
Devin Balara is the current Ox-Bow Metals Studio Tech.
