Experience the potter’s wheel without the pressure of perfection. This one-day workshop introduces the basics of wheel throwing in a relaxed, judgment-free environment—perfect for total beginners, curious creatives, or anyone looking to sharpen their throwing skills. Students will learn how to center, throw, and shape clay into simple vessels while embracing the value of process over product. All clay will be recollected and recycled at the end of class, honoring Ox-Bow’s eco-conscious, skill-building ethos. Participants can expect personalized instruction from an experienced teaching artist and to gain hands-on experience at the wheel and in the ceramics studio. 

Plan to bring: All materials will be provided but simple drawing supplies and a sketchbook are encouraged for drafting ideas.
