THE SUMMER BENEFIT
The 2019 Summer Benefit will be held on July 6, 2019
6pm - 10pm
Ox-Bow Campus, 3435 Rupprecht Way, Saugatuck, MI 49453
On one summer night, every July, Ox-Bow welcomes our community of artists and patrons to gather on the Warnock Meadow for our annual Summer Benefit— an evening of fellowship and fundraising. Over 400 guests at this often sold-out event will enjoy artisanal cuisine, an open bar, and lively auctions featuring the artwork of Ox-Bow’s notable artists and alumni.
This year, on July 6, 2019, we are very pleased to be coming together again to celebrate our dynamic artist community. We hope you can join us in celebration.
We are especially pleased this year, to hold our benefit in honor of a long-time, beloved volunteer: Kathleen Markland. Kathleen’s commitment to Ox-Bow is unparalleled. She has participated in classes at Ox-Bow since 1973, actively serves on our stewardship committee, and is dedicated to volunteerism on campus. Kathleen is often the first familiar face welcoming students back to campus at our front desk, and helping visitors during our Friday Night Open Studios. Her willingness to engage at all levels of the Ox-Bow community is emblematic of our community culture.
Honoring Kathleen has also inspired us to survey the substantial contributions women have made on Ox-Bow’s history. We look forward to featuring this history at this year’s benefit.
