The Ox-Bow campus is comprised of 115-acres of dunes, forests, and trails. The central campus has grown up around the original buildings that still stand today. The heart of the campus is the Ox-Bow Inn, which in 2006 underwent a major renovation. The main body of the original building still stands as rustic and as charming as it always has, with rooms on the 2nd floor. The new Burke Inn Addition is home to Ox-Bow’s new kitchen, and cozy dining room, complete with a fieldstone fireplace. The 2nd floor of the Burke Inn Addition houses 12 new bedrooms, and 3 new baths. The first floor in the new wing also houses 2 ADA compliant bedrooms, the Ox-Bow Office, and a breezeway that connects to the original building. Six studios, the Marshall (a new dormitory), the Lutz (Ox-Bow’s new group studio house), a visitor center, and 23 brightly colored residential cabins surround the Inn, which looks out onto the Ox-Bow meadow and lagoon. The original cabins were built by Ox-Bow stewards, and have been preserved for almost a century. Just as Ox-Bow's historical buildings are treasured, nature is equally revered. The five acres that make up the residential campus have been enhanced with flower and organic vegetable gardens that complement Ox-Bow's beloved meadow. The Tallmadge Woods, Ox-Bow’s 110-acre old-growth forest has remained untouched. Unobtrusive trails guide hikers through the woods, over the sand dunes, and out onto vistas that fuel the creative spirit.
