Ox-Bow welcomes anyone who is 18 years or older, from beginning to advanced artists, to register for courses. Please refer to the following information to learn more about registration and payment procedures.

How to Register:

  1. Verify when you qualify to register (see below).
  2. Complete registration form. Click here to download the form. Make sure to include a signature.
  3. Make payment arrangements.
  4. Submit registration by mail, fax, or in person. Ox-Bow does not accept registrations by phone. SAIC students are not able to register on-line for Ox-Bow Classes.

Open registration for non-SAIC students

Pre- Registration for SAIC students:

Currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students at SAIC may register early for Ox-Bow classes beginning at 8:30 am on Monday, March 15, 2010. Students can only register in-person at the Ox-Bow offices. On-line registration for Ox-Bow courses is not available.

PLEASE NOTE:
  • Telephone registrations are not accepted.
  • SAIC students are not required to submit payment upon registration for Ox-Bow if enrolling to receive credit. Students taking a class as non-credit must pay all tuition and fees to Ox-Bow at the time of registration.
  • SAIC undergraduate and graduate students may be able to use their financial aid award from SAIC toward the cost of credit tuition for courses at Ox-Bow. Apply at the School’s Office of Financial Aid, 312.629.6600 or FinAid@saic.edu.
  • Students using financial aid are obligated to inform the Office of Financial Aid in the event of any change in credit load.

To register by mail:
Starting March 29, 2010
Please send a completed registration form and payment arrangements to Ox-Bow Registration, 36 S. Wabash Ave., 12th Floor, Chicago, IL 60603. Payment for courses taken for non-credit is due at the time of registration.

Beginning on March 29, registration forms received by mail will be processed in the order in which they are received, but must be postmarked no earlier than March 22. Registrations postmarked before March 22 will be considered with registrations received after March 30 and not processed until that time.

Payment for courses taken for non-credit is due at the time of registration. Registration forms will be processed in the order in which they are received beginning on March 30 at 8:30 am Central Time. Registrations received earlier than 8:30 am will be considered with registrations received after March 31 and not processed until that time.

Please bring a completed registration form and payment arrangements to:

Add/Drop


Depending on availability, courses may be added at any time until the Wednesday prior to the start of each class.

Students may drop a course at any time up to the Monday three weeks prior to the first day of the course. Drop requests are accepted in writing, by mail or in person. Simply not attending a course does not constitute a drop.

Please note the drop fee has increased.

Drop fees and Refund Policy


New Ox-Bow Refund Policy: Please read carefully.

To drop a course, students must submit the request in writing to the Ox-Bow registrar. Call 800.318.3019 for more information. The following drop fees will be assessed dependent on when you drop your course:

From the first day of registration until 4:30 pm on May 1: Students will receive a full refund minus a $100 drop fee.

If you drop after May 1 until 3 weeks prior to your first day of class: Students will receive a full refund minus $250 drop fee and any associated lab fee.

If you drop within 3 weeks of the start date of your class: No refunds will be given.

All drops are eligible to be contested through a refund review. To be considered for a refund, please contact the Ox-Bow registrar at 800.318.3019. Documentation may be required to receive a refund.
