BFA, Western Michigan University. Apprentice Experience: Manfred Bredohl at The International Teaching Center for Metal Design. Commissions: The British Museum, Pattern welded sword from the Sutton Hoo Ship Burial (dated near 600 A.D.); Architectural commissions in steel and bronze such as stair railing, gates, furniture, kitchen racks, and sculpture. Taught: Penland School of Crafts; Peter's Valley School; workshops and demonstrations at international conferences such as Ferro 2000 in Cloppenburg, Germany. Affiliations: President, Vice President, and Financial Chair of the Artist Blacksmith Association of North America (ABANA). He currently serves on their Board of Directors. Exhibitions: Ford Gallery, MI; Louisville Art Gallery, KY; University of MI, School of Art; Artspace, Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft.
