Mary Walling Blackburn
Last spring, Mary Walling Blackburn staged a "A Novel in the Form of a Car Bomb", a radio play that included a vehicular orchestra and live chorus (Industry City, Brooklyn) . "Carrying Love is Not Like Carrying Money" is a current project made for e-flux's Time/Bank (Frieze Art Fair/London). LA><ART (Los Angeles) recently screened "Black Divine Light" as part of The Fuzzy Set. In New York, she currently has work at Printed Matter. Her writing has been published in AfterAll, Art in America, Aperture, Brooklyn Rail, Cabinet Magazine, CTHEORY,and Women and Performance.In 2009, she founded an experimental graduate institute for women, the Anhoek School; its first course, "Stealing Horses: The Invention of Ownership" was held in Marfa, Texas.
