Ages 8-12

Sol + stice derives from a combination of Latin words meaning "sun" + "to stand still." As the days lengthen, the sun rises higher and higher until it seems to stand still in the sky.
Celebrate the earth's passage of the summer season in the natural surroundings of Ox-Bow. Beginning our day with yoga sun salutations, young artists will create art utilizing the sun's power: sun prints, sun-dye silk, and sculptural sundials. Materials included.
