Join us for one of five campus open studios this summer!
Join us on select Fridays when students, fellows, and Artists in Residence from the preceding week mount an exhibit of their work. The work on display comes from a variety of media including painting, drawing, ceramics, metals, papermaking, printmaking, and glass. Ox-Bow’s Friday Night Open Studios also feature an artistic demonstration. Past demos have included papermaking in the lagoon, glassblowing and casting, and collaborative demonstrations between studios like print and metals or glass and metals.
Attendees are also encouraged to visit the Ox-Bow Gallery (located in the Inn) to view the current show by the Ox-Bow staff and fellows.
Friday Night Open Studios also include a live auction of student, staff, visiting artist, and faculty work that begins at 8PM. This is a great opportunity to support emerging artists, while building your collection! The demos immediately follow the auction, usually right around 9PM.
To get to the Ox-Bow campus for Friday night open studios you can park at the St. Peter's Church and take a free shuttle to Ox-Bow that will be leaving every 15 minutes starting at 7PM and ending at 10:15PM.
For more information, call 269.857.5811 (after June 1). 2012 open studios include: Friday June 15, June 29, July 13, July 27, and August 10.
